The mission of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACC Midwest) is to promote and assist in the expansion of bilateral trade and investment between Germany and the United States. All internships offer the opportunity to gain work experience in a truly bicultural environment, with support from colleagues that can help speed the learning curve of understanding intercultural differences and nuances.
Our Apprenticeship Networks Team supports our member companies and other industry associations, educational institutions, and government agencies to cover the demand for skilled workforce in various industry sectors. To this end, we help with the creation of new programs based on the German model of apprenticeships and assist with the management of existing programs. We are seeking a creative Apprenticeship Networks Intern with a focus on Marketing and Communications, who is interested in technology and creating compelling content. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and eager to get experience by diving head-first into social media initiatives, content strategy, outreach to and collaboration with various stakeholders, advertising, and providing assistance across a wide range of other responsibilities. The Intern will be working with our team to build content, so collaboration and communication are crucial for this role.

You’re going to grow – we promise! We’re looking to provide web- and tech-savvy self-starter interns with the opportunity to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding apprenticeships, HR strategies, workforce development, clearly marketing to very different target audiences. You will be able to work in a closed team where each area of responsibility overlaps, and you will also have some opportunities to work cross-departmental and learn from different experts.
