GACC Midwest is seeking a full-time IT Coordinator. This position will manage all day-to-day IT needs of a mid-sized organization within an office environment, including technical onboarding of new team members, troubleshooting of IT issues and general oversight of IT systems and peripheral equipment. This position reports to the Director, Accounting & Administration.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide internal helpdesk support to all team members as needed; respond quickly and effectively to support requests and resolve problems satisfactorily
  • Implement and maintain helpdesk tracking software; consistently follow up with team members on ticket status, next steps, progress, and resolution of IT issues
  • Evaluation/implementation of new software
  • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstations as necessary
  • Onboard all new employees with respect to technology, including providing each workstation with computer, monitor and other necessary peripherals; installing, configuring and testing appropriate software programs; and assigning users and computers to proper groups in the Active Directory
  • Configure wireless devices for new users
  • Maintain inventory of all office equipment, software and software licenses
  • Assign office 365 and Adobe licenses to the new users
  • Perform basic Networking (DHCP, DNS, WiFi)
  • Perform workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
  • Monitor regular data backups
  • Maintain teleconferencing and video equipment
  • Maintain IP Phone System – assign and configure extensions/voicemail
  • Maintain and configure shared printers/copiers

Technical Skills/Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in an IT discipline
  • Strong aptitude in OS repairs, spyware and virus removal, hardware, upgrades and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Office 365 Admin Portal
  • Experience with Windows Server
  • Basic networking knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of methodology to run computer systems and to troubleshoot computer equipment malfunctions
  • Prior experience working with a ticketing system for tracking IT support/troubleshooting activities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Commitment to excellence and high professional standards
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflows
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels within organization, representing all levels of IT competence
  • Ability to plan and organize special projects
  • One or more Microsoft Certifications would be helpful
  • Basic German language skills would be of value but are not required (external German language courses may be offered upon candidate interest); candidates should ideally have an interest in German-American business
