The German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (GACC) was founded in 1947 and works to support the business needs of international companies. Among our services are Membership, Events, Business Consulting, and Career Development. We are part of a worldwide network of 150 German Chambers of Commerce in 93 countries.
The GACC is a DOL Registered Sponsor of Apprenticeship programs across multiple states and provides training programs in industries ranging from Manufacturing to Culinary Arts. Our model is based on the German “Dual Education” vocational training system, which is the career pathway for over half of young people in the country. In the US, we work to educate our partners on the benefits of Apprenticeship Training and develop programs that incorporate best practices such as Mentorship Training and Competency Evaluations.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a motivated communicator with experience in education and the confidence to engage with many types of people, from executives and skilled workers to teachers and students. You recognize the need to bring young people into well-paying skilled careers and are ready to build the infrastructure that will make them, their companies, and their communities successful.
Our Training Manager will operate from our office in Allentown, PA. Local travel will be a priority, especially in the Lehigh Valley will be a priority. Candidates with active connections and experience in the Lehigh Valley are preferred.
