Position Overview:
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the US market, drive company growth, and support the development of a dedicated US team for the HK.Systems group. This is a strategic role with the potential to grow into a VP function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to drive company growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Manage the full business development cycle, from prospecting and proposal creation to contract negotiation and closing
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams in Germany and the US
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential sectors
- Manage customer care and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels
- Monitor competitors and industry developments to refine positioning and strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications or related field
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in B2B environments
- Strong ability to structure and close complex deals with multiple stakeholders
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in relevant industries
- Strong knowledge of Med-Tech, Mining, Sensors, Aviation, Semiconductor, or related sectors is a plus
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, German language knowledge and intercultural experience a plus
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop growth plans
- Willingness to travel as required
