Job Summary

GISC is seeking a team player to serve as Director of Enrollment Management. The Director of Enrollment Management will be the key person charged with increasing the school’s enrollment in a planned manner to an enrollment of about 250 students in the next five years. A key component of this enrollment management plan will be the retention of elementary school students, and a possible addition of an enrollment opportunity for non-German speaking students. This position will be part of the school’s Leadership Team composed of the Head of School, Director of Teaching & Learning, Director of Finance & Operations. This position builds relationships with all students, families, faculty, and staff members to create a positive, collaborative, and supportive school community.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides leadership in enrollment management, which includes admission, marketing, and recruitment and directs the process of attracting, enrolling and retaining students at GISC.
  • Sets annual enrollment and admission goals, in accordance with the school’s mission and budget.
  • Promotes economic, racial, and ethnic diversity in the student body
  • Organizes and administers the School’s financial aid program and budget in conjunction with the Director of Finance & Operations.
  • Manages new student enrollment and the reenrollment of current students, working in close connection with the school leadership team.
  • Understands and informs the leadership team, the Board of Trustees and community about research and demographics and admission and enrollment trends, ensuring that changes and challenges are anticipated, understood, and addressed.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic marketing ideas, including social media campaigns.
  • Formulates annual Admission and Enrollment Action Plans with goals and objectives.
  • Supervises, guides, and supports the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Attends Board of Trustee meetings when appropriate, is involved in strategic planning and keeping the Board fully apprised of the School’s admission, financial aid, and marketing endeavors.
  • Maintains statistical and trend data related to admission and enrollment. Presents statistical and trend information to Senior Staff, Board of Trustees, and faculty.
  • Extends himself/herself beyond the responsibilities of a job description when the need arises. Assists Head of School with all other duties as assigned.

Specific Qualifications

  • Experience in School Enrollment and Admissions
  • Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (preferred)
  • Teaching experience, Leadership experience
  • Proficiency in German Language; Commitment to Bilingualism and Global Citizenship
  • Organizational Skills; Google Suite knowledge is a plus
  • Interpersonal skills: relating and connecting with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Commitment to best practices in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (commitment, courage, cognizance of bias, curiosity, cultural intelligence, and collaboration)
  • Knowledge of current educational research and best practices for instruction.
  • Leadership skills including facilitation, conflict resolution strategies, and team management building methods


Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the US (GISC will sponsor visa and employment authorization for qualified candidates outside the U.S.)
