Our client is the in 2014 established US subsidiary of a world leader in products and solutions in fire prevention and highly sensitive early-warning fire detection. Their team of 640 staff members worldwide provide their clients with a single source of solutions in fire prevention, from research and development to consulting, application, construction, standardization, assembling, and commissioning followed by maintenance and service of the system.

Their US subsidiary is now looking to add a Service Engineer/ Technician to their team for local technical project management, installation, commissioning, and maintenance, as well as after-sales service. At present, the company’s focus is on the cold chain warehousing and logistics industry. This position offers the opportunity to join a new team within an established international organization with strong growth.


  • Overall project and site management, incl. time, cost, and quality management of the project, management of (local) subcontractors, and project documentation in cooperation with sales staff and project execution staff from HQs
  • Pre-Calculation of services required to maintain existing installations within US and Canada
  • Planning, preparing and realization of Services (Maintenance) of current installations
  • Supervision of the installation and commissioning of our fire prevention and fire detection systems in cooperation with the company's HQs in Germany
  • Technical product training of Distribution Partners and End-Customers (Fire Detection and Fire Prevention Systems)
  • Hands-On Mentality for evaluation internal processes in terms of improvement
  • Inside-Sales Support in terms of order processing, if required
  • Initialization of project kick-offs with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, ideally with focus on Fire Protection
  • Strong technical skills and good commercial knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally with exposure to fire protection and/or fire alarm systems
  • Hands-on mentality, proven ability to work independently and autonomously with self-motivation and commitment
  • Good MS-Office skills and basic experience with AutoCAD
  • German language skills would be beneficial
