The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S., Inc. (GACC South) is a private, non-profit organization that serves as the official representative of German industry and trade in the Southern United States. Our mission is to promote and support bilateral trade between Germany and the US.

We seek a full-time, highly organized, and dependable Management Assistant for the Atlanta corporate office with less than 30 staff members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an existing office administrative background to plan, organize, and manage daily office operations. This is a non-exempt position which reports to the CFO & CEO.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the CEO & CFO
  • Manage schedules, arrange travel, file expenses
  • Oversee office management and vendor relationships
  • Procure office equipment
  • Field inquiries and manage correspondence
  • Manage documentation and ensure diligent record keeping
  • Maintain workplace policies and employee handbooks
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Serve as main point of contact for external IT support team
  • Organize internal company events
  • Coordinate Meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 3+ work experience in office or IT administration, project management, or related fields
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication abilities; professional fluency in German preferred
  • Ability to multitask effectively and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward-thinking with a solutions-focused approach
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized
  • Collaborative team player with interpersonal aptitude
  • Proficient user of MS Office Suite, digital tools and office equipment
  • Experience planning corporate events or HR activities a plus

Work context-Physical requirements:

Work is performed in an office environment. Employees may be subject to lifting (filing boxes) and exposure to fumes and chemicals (ink and toners).
