Mechatronics Technicians Apprenticeship in New Jersey

As a Mechatronics technicians you will apply your knowledge of engineering to solve technical problems and maintain automated mechanical equipment. This may entail inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic and mechanical components. As a Mechatronics technicians you are needed in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, agriculture and aerospace.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Install electrical sub-assemblies and components
  • Troubleshooting
  • Measure and test electrical values
  • Install and test hardware and software components
  • Build and test control systems
  • Program and maintain mechatronics systems
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and components into machines and systems
  • Assemble and dismantle machinery, systems and plants, transport and secure
  • Test and adjust the functioning of mechatronics systems
  • Commission and operate mechatronics systems
  • Maintain and program robotic systems on the production floor

Upon your successful completion of your Mechatronics Technician Apprenticeship, you will receive:

  • Associate's Degree in Mechatronics from CCM
  • Journeyworker credential by the NJ Dept. of Labor and Industrie (issued by the GACC New York)
  • Apprenticeship Certificate from the DIHK

The GACC supports you in finding the right host company for your successful apprenticeship to becoming a Mechatronics technicians.

After completing this initial pre-registration we will consider you for future openings of apprenticeships in New Jersey for the next 12 months. We will match you with possible open spots and you will have the opportunity to tour potential host companies. Of course, we will ask you for your explicit permission prior to sending your application information to companies which then would be the official apprenticeship application.
