JOB DESCRIPTION: Order Processing Coordinator
SUBSIDIARY: US - Interstuhl, Inc. (www.interstuhl.com)
WORK CLASS: Temporary Hours Per Week; Option to Transition to Full-Time After 6-Month Review

PAY SCALE: Hourly Rate to Begin; Negotiable
401K BENEFITS: Available based on the future transition to a full-time role
START DATE: End of 1st Quarter 2021
LOCATION: Chicago Preferred; Work From Home Role (that can be virtual based on approval)

Main Duties

Order Processing
▪ Enter new customer orders into the system (new customer and sample orders)
▪ Check and confirm pricing and discount levels
▪ Clarify open questions with customer when required
▪ Clarify lead times with German headquarters team
▪ Double check order confirmation and send to customer
▪ Handle special product requests and orders with IS Germany
▪ Arrange with head of sales office sample orders for customers, showroom and trade shows

Logistics

▪ Track and organize shipping from Europe and Mexico to the USA and orders shipping within the USA
▪ Ensure proper handling, receiving, storage, and shipping of the products
▪ Communicate delivery information to customers
▪ Assist with FedEx services as requested

Post-Sales Support
▪ Assist with customer quality issues and inquiries, and provide outstanding customer support
▪ Check back with customers on their satisfaction level of an order

Marketing
▪ Assist with new contact database expansion for social media
▪ Insert customer information into the customer database
▪ Perform other special projects as assigned

Sales Support
▪ Assist with the development of Sales proposals for customers
▪ Answer incoming phone calls, when necessary
▪ Send sales information or materials to sales partners when requested
▪ Organize samples when requested by workteam leader

Desired Skill Sets

▪ Good awareness of customer needs and problem solving skill sets
▪ Good interenal and external communications skills (speaking and writing)
▪ Ability and discipline to work independently without face-to-face supervision
▪ Past experience in the furniture industry, shipping or freight, import / export operations would be beneficial
▪ Must be fluent in English, and have German as 2nd language (for both speaking and writing)
▪ IT skills: Knowledge of a mainframe business system / order mgmt. platform, CRM software, Internet, MS Office (Excel)
