The Berlin Business Office USA offers a four to twelve-month internship to join their team of international business development professionals in New York City. We are seeking a highly motivated, full-time intern to gain hands-on experience using her/his business education in real-world applications. As an intern, you will participate in day-to-day operations and support the ongoing projects.

We are looking for an intern who can start on as soon as possible.

The Berlin Business Office (BBO) presents and promotes the tech ecosystem of Germany’s capital in the U.S. It works to deepen economic relations between the U.S. and Berlin by helping U.S. companies do business in Berlin and Berlin companies enter or expand in the U.S. The BBO is part of the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Your training opportunities will include but are not limited to:
  • Support managing director with follow-ups, expansion projects, and location marketing
  • Assisting in planning, implementation, and post follow-up of inbound and outbound delegations, conferences, and other networking events
  • Support with website, social media, and newsletter, including the creation of content for the external communication
  • Assisting and coordinating marketing activities
  • Conducting industry specific market research
  • Creating industry profiles and presentations
  • Administrative responsibilities like maintenance of database (Content Management System), onsite support for planning of business trips, meeting preparation, etc.
  • Other administrative responsibilities relevant to project management and event management

Qualifications:

  • Studies of business administration or related field
  • Understanding of prioritization and efficient allocation of time and resources
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets
  • Detail oriented
  • A hands-on problem solver who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Fluency and exceptional communication skills in English
  • Working skills in German is a plus
  • High competence in Social Media
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant business tools (MS Office, Webdesign etc.)
